Welcome to the NICU Text Support Project resource page! Our research team is here to provide information that could be helpful in navigating your NICU journey, which will occur via unidirectional text messages two to three times per week over the course of approximately eight weeks.

You will be receiving surveys to complete before you begin receiving text messages, during the study (at week 3 and week 6), and at the end of the study. Please complete all surveys, as they are an important part of our research. Participants who complete all surveys will be eligible for a raffle for 3 $50 gift cards to thank participants for their time.  

In our text messages, we are sharing ideas backed by science for how to support your baby in the NICU. The text messages are not specific to your NICU experience, so it is important to connect with your nursing and care team before implementing something new to assure it is safe for your baby. In addition, you may reply "STOP" at any time if you no longer agree to receive SMS messaging from the project. By replying "STOP," you will be unenrolled from the study. 

The goal of the project is to help facilitate your involvement and support role as a parent during a time when it can be hard to figure out how to do so. It is our goal to support you– the most important member of your baby's team– by increasing your involvement in your infant's care, your feeling of confidence in your role as a parent, and your personal well-being.
